TCITA Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the HushSnap application. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how HushSnap handles data.

1. We Collect Nothing

HushSnap sends no data to us — not now, not ever. There is no server on our side that the app talks to:

No Remote Servers: HushSnap does not communicate with any of our servers, nor does it transmit any of your data to us over the internet.
Local OCR: Optical Character Recognition is performed entirely on your local machine using embedded offline libraries (RapidOCR).
Screen Captures: Screenshots are held in your system memory and copied directly to your local clipboard. They are never uploaded or shared with us or any third party.
Local Image Editor: Image annotations, cropping, rotation, resizing, and all other editing operations are performed entirely on your local machine. Edited images are never uploaded.
No Account, No Analytics: HushSnap has no sign-in, no usage tracking, and no advertising or analytics SDKs of any kind.
Local Logs: Diagnostic logs are written to your device only (%LOCALAPPDATA%\HushSnap\) and are never uploaded by us.

Note: As with any Microsoft Store app, Windows may collect platform-level telemetry — such as crash/error reports, install and usage statistics, or device information — and share it with us via Partner Center. This is governed by Microsoft's practices and your Windows diagnostic settings, not by HushSnap. HushSnap itself sends nothing and never puts your screenshots, OCR text, or other content into any such report.

2. Information We Access

HushSnap only accesses local system components essential for its operation:

Clipboard: To paste captured screenshots or recognized OCR text for your convenience.
Keyboard / Hotkeys: To detect global screenshot hotkeys configured by you.
Local Application Data Directory: To save your local preferences and diagnostic logs.

3. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or in our source repository.
